How Our Duty Of Care Process Works

Doctor Ward Rutley is a skilled practitioner in root canal therapies, and he and the whole team treat patients like family with an in-depth patient process designed for long term tooth preservation through simple stages.

When you first visit us, we do an initial physical examination of the problem area, x-rays and various tests to diagnose the status and health of your tooth. We spend time speaking with you about your concerns, answering questions, and forming options from the results to give you clear treatment options, timeframes, and costs to make an informed decision. Once you have chosen the best option, we will explain the process in detail.

The next stage is performing the treatment. Sometimes treatment can happen in a single visit, but typically several visits are required, which will be mapped out with you. During any treatment, you will be in a relaxed and comfortable environment under anaesthetic, where you will feel no pain. Once this wears off, you will manage any numbness or discomfort with over the counter medication.

The level of care we provide includes following up after treatments to monitor the health of your newly restored tooth. Our treatments are not short term solutions; they are for longevity and tooth preservation. We work with your local dentist to form a protection plan around future checkups. This combination gives your tooth every chance to last an entire lifetime.

We will work with you to set dedicated appointments for your various stages of treatment. If you cannot make one of your appointments or require a change of day and time, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice in advance, which helps us allocate time for people who may need emergency dental work.
